| FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Superintendent Nelson’s Final Message: Happy Monday Fresno Unified Family! As I’m sure you’ve heard, on Friday the Board of Education announced they have selected Misty Her to become the Interim Superintendent following the adoption of her new contract at this Wednesday’s board meeting. At that time, we also expect the board to adopt a new contract for me to become a special advisor to Misty with the remainder of my time here. I’m sharing my congratulations to Misty, my gratitude for YOU, my apologies, my final thoughts as your Superintendent, and most importantly my gratitude to my beautiful wife Tiffany, our children, and my mother without whose direct support I could not have served in this role. Serving in this role has truly been the greatest honor of my work life. Just closing out in love and affirming I will continue to be a fierce advocate for you and our students for the rest of my life!
