Woman Died in Car Crash in Tulare County Early Wednesday: CHP

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – A woman died in a car crash in Tulare County early Wednesday morning.

The CHP said it happened just before 6:30am, while a 27-year-old woman was driving a 2014 Nissan, near Farmersville.

She was going east on Avenue 280 when she made a U-turn by Road 148, right into the path of a Chevy.

Officers said she was not wearing a seatbelt and died of her injuries.

The CHP identified the Chevy driver as 61 year old Robert Avila.

They say Avila was wearing his seatbelt and only suffered minor injuries.

It’s not known yet if drugs or alcohol were factors in this crash.
