An Arrest is Made in a Fresno County Stabbing Over the Weekend

FRESNO, Calif. – Police said an arrest was made in a stabbing that took place on Sunday in Fresno.

Police said 31-year-old Daniel Dominguez of Fresno, and an unidentified male accomplice approached a victim on State of California property in Fresno on February 25, 2024.

Dominguez and his unidentified accomplice brandished a knife to threaten a 26-year-old pedestrian.

An unprovoked assault led to Dominguez stabbing the man.

He was transported by ambulance to a local Fresno area hospital where he is recovering from stab wounds to his neck.

The victim is expected to survive.

Following a thorough investigation, Fresno Area CHP, with support from Fresno PD, located Daniel Dominguez at the Poverello House on F Street on February 27, two days following the incident.

He was found in possession of the suspected weapon used in the attempted murder and was peacefully taken into custody.

Dominguez has been booked into the Fresno County Jail for multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
