
FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man from Parlier is sentenced for a deadly shooting last year at Fresno’s Campus Pointe.
18-year-old Ricardo Resendez made a plea deal of 10 years behind bars for the shooting the morning of July 6th, 2021.
Fresno police say that’s when an argument inside Maya Cinemas ended up in the parking lot at Campus Point
Police said Resendez shot 22-year-old Frankie Sierras as he was driving away.
Resendez was taken into custody a day later, on July 7, 2022.
Sierra’s death became Fresno’s 38th homicide of 2021.
Resendez was charged with murder, and attempted murder because there was a woman also inside the car, who survived.
