HANFORD, Calif. (KMJ/FOX26) — A shooting was reported in Hanford Thursday morning leading to multiple law enforcement agencies to respond including SWAT.

Officers say a 77-year-old called around 11:30 a.m. and reported her two sons got into an argument and exchanged gunfire at a residence at Fargo Ave. and Cabrillo Ct. between Douty St. and 11th Ave.

Law enforcement set up a perimeter, closed Fargo Ave., and began calling for people to come out.

After searching outside and not finding any evidence, officers entered the residence and did not find any victims or evidence of a shooting.

After talking to the woman, they began recognizing problems of mental health issues.

At one point there were about 20 officers, two fire trucks, three ambulances, and multiple detectives on the scene.

Thankfully nobody was hurt.
