(KMJ) — A Teenage girl was struck by a stray bullet during a family event at her home in Visalia.
Visalia Police say they have an open investigation on a shooting incident that happened near the 2100 Block of North Divisadero Street.
A family was having a gathering at their house nearby when the shooting happened, and a stray bullet from that shooting hit the 13-year-old girl.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition and received treatment for her foot injury.
Police say they do not believe that the girl or her family were the actual targets of the shooting.
