FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Central East High School’s campus was locked down Friday morning after school officials say somebody set off fireworks inside a bathroom.
Central Unified School District sent the following message to parents:
At around 8:30 this morning students at Central East High School set off firecrackers inside a campus restroom. At no point was anyone in harm’s way. Administration is currently investigating this situation. Please know that all students and staff are safe and normal school activities have resumed. We understand this can be traumatic for both students and staff especially with what has occurred in our nation. Counselors and mental health staff are available on campus to support any student who may need their services. We have also included a link below that might help you as you have conversations with your child(ren). We appreciate you taking time to view this message, thank you.
The lockdown was lifted and classes resumed after officials gave the all clear.
