Police were called around 10:00 p.m. to the area of Gregory and Cromwell Avenues for the report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Jason Vitug suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers and paramedics tried to save Vitug but he died at the scene.
Detectives interviewed witnesses and learned the men were long-time friends.
They say King pulled out a gun and “discharged the weapon with conscious disregard for human life.”
21-year-old Jacob King was arrested for the murder of Jason Vitug.
King was booked at the Fresno County Jail on murder charges.
