(KMJ) — Producers Dairy welcomes two new all-electric commercial trucks to its fleet that will produce zero emissions while it travels across the Central Valley.

The Volvo VNR Electric is the first-class 8-battery truck to hit the road. The trucks will be based out of Fresno and are designed for Producers Dairy to travel regionally from Selma to Madera.

The company was able to purchase the two trucks through a California Climate Investment, receiving $1.25 million to help carry out the project. Amply Power will oversee the truck’s services, charging needs, and longevity.

Mayor Jerry Dyer joined the Producers Team in their welcoming event on Tuesday. The dairy company is a third-generation Central Valley family business.
