Infant Suffers Burns After A Firebombing In The South Valley

VISALIA, Calif. (KMJ) — An infant suffered minor burns after a firebomb was thrown at a home in Visalia early Friday morning.

Visalia Police and Fire crews responded to calls of fire on Garden Street near downtown around 3:00 a.m. where a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of a house .

An infant inside the home was treated by EMS and taken to the hospital with minor burns.

Officers then located a vehicle matching the description a few blocks away at Divisadero St. and Laura Ave.

Police say the two suspects were known to the victim and left in a vehicle after starting the fire.

After a search of the vehicle, Police found evidence linking them to the arson as and also in possession of an illegal firearm.

Esteban Rosales and Ramona Barnes were both arrested without incident.

Both suspects were booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility.
