A deadly officer-involved shooting is under investigation at Fresno Police HQ.
The incident took place around noon Tuesday inside the FPD Annex building downtown.
Police Chief Paco Balderrama said the unidentified man was shot and killed by an officer inside the building.
Chief Balderrama said at a news conference that the suspect should not have been on the property or inside the building. A keycard is required to open the gate to the parking lot and the doors to the building.
The Chief said the suspect entered the building and started assaulting a police detective inside leading the officer to shoot.
