Fresno Double Murder Suspect Now In Custody in Los Angeles County

(KMJ) – A Fresno man sought for in the murder of his mother and grandfather is taken into custody in Southern California.

Here are the details, as released by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office:

On the night of January 15th, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Patrol Division arrested 25-year-old Rahmad Kerel Parke. He was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail.

Arrangements are now being made to transport him to the Fresno County Jail. Parke was wanted for the murders of his 90-year-old grandfather Mel Abdelaziz and his mother, 58-year-old Melba Abdelaziz.

On the morning of January 6th, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of an injured person located at a home on the 5100 block of East Tulare Avenue in Fresno. There, deputies discovered Mel Abdelaziz deceased in the front yard and his daughter, 58 year old Melba Abdelaziz, deceased inside the home. Since that time, Sheriff’s homicide detectives had been searching for Parke.
