HANFORD, CA (KMJ/FOX26) – The Hanford Police Department announced the arrest of a man they say sexually assaulted his nieces.

Police were called to investigate the alleged sexual assaults in April of this year.

Four young female family members told investigators their uncle, Ramon Quezeda Lepez, had been sexually assaulting them in the City of Hanford and in the State of Washington where the families would migrate to work from May to October every year.

Based on the investigation, Lepez would target his young nieces when they were as young as 6-years-old.

They said he continued to sexually assault them until they were old enough to understand it was wrong and told him to stop.

The parents of the young girls confronted Lepez and said they were going to report the incidents to the police.

Lepez left California to work with his brother in Minnesota.

Detectives got a call from family members on Nov. 24th that Lepez was in the City of Hanford to attend a birthday party for his 15 year-old-daughter.

Lepez was located and transported to the Hanford Police Department for questioning.

After questioning, Lepez was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail for Lewd Acts with a Minor Child Under 14 and Oral Copulation with a Person Under 14.
