13-Year-Old Student Arrested for Threatening to Shoot Up School in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, CA (KMJ) – A 13-year-old male student is arrested for threatening to shoot up a school in Tulare County.

Just after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Tipton Elementary School on Evans Road in Tipton for a student threatening to shoot up the school.

When Deputies arrived, they were told a 13-year-old student had made statements in the last month that “he is the school shooter.”

The Sheriff’s Office said student also had a journal where he made a “hit list” and he talked about shooting his dad.

Deputies searched the student’s home and found that he did not have access to any guns.

He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility facing charges of Making Terrorist Threats.
