(KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating a deadly stabbing in the City of Mendota.
Here’s the information on this incident released by the Sheriff’s Office:
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, Mendota Police responded to the 1200 block of 6th Street for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived at the home and found an older man who had been stabbed. The victim, identified as 63-year-old Daniel, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Mendota Police made a request to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to have its detectives take over the investigation. Sheriff’s homicide detectives and members of the Crime Scene Unit arrived to collect evidence and speak with witnesses.
A motive has not been established and a suspect has not been identified. This is an ongoing investigation.
