(KMJ) – An anonymous tip to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office helps its deputies track down a wanted homicide suspect.
31-year-old Ruben Sanchez (pictured below) was wanted for the murder of 30-year-old Rachel Martinez. Deputies say he shot the woman inside a home near Avenue 168 and Road 166 in Woodville Saturday Night.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, a tip lead deputies to the cemetery in Woodville, where they located Sanchez. An officer involved shooting then followed with Sanchez struck at lease once and airlifted to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia. His condition has yet to be released.
Now, the Porterville Police Department is investigating this Officer Involved Shooting.
