(KMJ) – The state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control says all alcohol sales will cease for the next 45-days at a market in Parlier.

Here are the details as shared by the ABC:

On June 16, 2021, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) posted a 45-day suspension at Purple Plum Fruit Stand, located at 6872 South Academy Avenue in Parlier. Alcohol sales are prohibited during the term of the suspension.

This suspension came after an ABC agent working with the Parlier Police Department conducted an inspection and discovered over a pound of cannabis, unlawful possession of certain alcoholic beverages, and a stolen firearm inside the ABC licensed store. The agent also determined that the person in control of the store was acting in the capacity of an owner of the business but had not been qualified by the department. Owners of an ABC licensed business are required to complete an application and background process to determine suitability to hold an ABC license.
