FRESNO, CA (KMJ) — Major League Baseball announced the 2021 Minor League Baseball schedule.
Triple-A games are scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 6, and Double-A and Single-A are scheduled to start on Tuesday, May 4.
The Triple-A regular season will total 142 games, while Double-A and Single-A leagues will include 120 regular season games.
The Fresno Grizzlies will open the season on the road as they face the San Jose Giants for 6 games May 4-9.
After the opening series, the Grizzlies return home to take on the Visalia Rawhide for 6 games May 11-16.
The Grizzlies announced they officially accepted an invitation to become the Colorado Rockies’ Low-A affiliate on Feb. 12.
Other highlights from the announced schedule include:
- Sunday, July 4 vs. the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Dodgers Affiliate)
- 36 home games against Valley opponents (Modesto Nuts, Stockton Ports, and Visalia Rawhide)
- Games against the affiliates of the: San Francisco Giants (San Jose Giants, 18), Seattle Mariners (Modesto Nuts, 12), Oakland Athletics (Stockton Ports, 12), Arizona Diamondbacks (Visalia Rawhide, 12), and Los Angeles Dodgers (Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 6)
- The Grizzlies also play the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino and the Lake Elsinore Storm of Riverside County

The Grizzlies will formally introduce the Colorado Rockies to Fresno with a virtual news conference on Wednesday, February 24.
Joining Team President Derek Franks will be Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer, Fresno City Council President Miguel Arias, and the Rockies’ Assistant GM for Player Development Zach Wilson.
