FRESNO, CA (KMJ) — The Fresno Police Department got a call of a possible shooting at Olive and Farris in Fresno’s Tower District Friday afternoon.

The call came in around noon that a street vendor had been shot.

When police got there they found a Hispanic man in his 40s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police and people in the area performed life-saving measures on the man until EMS arrived and took him to CRMC where he later died.

Witnesses say a dark-colored SUV pulled up and somebody inside opened fire.

Police don’t believe it had anything to do with a robbery and the suspects may have known the victim.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
