Fresno Fair 4-H, FFA Exhibitors Need Help – Livestock Auction Extended to Oct 13

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Big Fresno Fair is underway, though different this year because of COVID-19, to the detriment of some young exhibitors.

The pandemic is affecting this year’s Virtual Jr. Livestock Auction and that’s not good for many of the Central Valley’s young 4-H and FFA exhibitors, who’ve entered their animals into the auction but are not getting bids to even break even for their work

Joann Bugarian said her three kids are participating but because the auction is online this year, not as many people are bidding and that’s causing kids to lose money.

The auction has been extended until Tuesday, October 13 at 11:59 p.m.

The Virtual Jr. Livestock Auction is underway and there are many 4-H and FFA exhibitors that still need your help! The auction has been extended until Tuesday, October 13 at 11:59 p.m.

Here is how you can support these kids:

  1. Purchase an animal
  2. Split the Purchase of an animal with another buyer
  3. Simply place a Top-Off/Add-On Bid

What’s an Top-Off/Add-On bid? It’s a monetary donation to support a particular 4-H/FFA exhibitor. You do not purchase an animal, you simply donate to support their project.
