2 Alarm Fire at Motel 6 in Fresno

 

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) — Fresno firefighters were called to a fire at the Motel 6 on Blackstone and Ashlan in Fresno.

The 2-alarm fire was called in around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Blackstone Ave. was closed for a short time while fire crews put out the fire.

The fire started in one of the rooms on the second floor.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire before it spread to any other rooms.

Fresno City Fire Battalion Chief Brad Dandridge said the two occupants of the room left briefly but have since returned and were being interviewed.

There were no injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
