The Department of Motor Vehicles is now extending drivers licenses for drivers 70 and older that’s license expires in June or July will now be extended for 120 days.
While licenses expiring for drivers 69 and younger will now be valid through July.
The DMV is offering additional extensions so Californians can delay or avoid an office visit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DMV said in a press release that Californians who previously requested an extension through May 31, 2020, are eligible to submit a new request, driver license permits that expire in July or August are extended for six months or to a date 24 months from the date of application, whichever is earlier.
