Fresno County Hosts First COVID-19 Town Hall on Facebook

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Fresno County Health Department reaches out through social media to host its first public COVID-19 town hall meeting.

Fresno County’s Health Dept. drew experts from the region’s medical experts, including Community Regional Medical Center, Community Medical center, UCSF Fresno, Madera County Health Dept. and the United Way to speak to the community on Friday afternoon.

The COVID-19 virtual town hall meeting was being broadcast live to the general public via the Healthy Fresno County Facebook page.

Public participation was encouraged, and people were asking questions through the chat function on Facebook.

Dr. Vohra said 5,759 tests have been carried out, and he gave the case count.

Fresno County has another two dozen cases now 443, but also the most recoveries; 157.

Tulare County has the most cases 472 with 83 recoveries and now 28 deaths.

Merced County has 100 cases, 57 recoveries, 3 deaths.

As of 5:00pm Friday, April 24, 2020, Madera County remained at 39 cases 27 recoveries and 2 deaths.

Kings County remained at 35 cases, and 9 recoveries, and 1 death.

Mariposa county still had zero cases.
