(KMJ) – Naval Air Station Lemoore confirms one of its Central Valley-based service members has tested positive for COVID-19.
Here are the details the Naval base posted via its official Facebook account Thursday:
On March 25, 2020, a service member supporting Fleet Readiness Center West (FRCW) in Lemoore, was tested for COVID-19 after displaying symptoms. The test was confirmed positive on April 1, 2020.
The service member was isolated since testing for the virus on March 25th. The work space is being cleaned and sanitized by contracted professionals. The service member is quarantined at home and showing mild symptoms.
The Navy is committed to taking every measure possible to protect the health and safety of our workforce and their families. We remain in close coordination with state and federal authorities to ensure the well-being of our personnel and local communities.
