10 Fresno County Vote Centers Opening

FRESNO, CA, Friday, February 21, 2020 – Beginning this Saturday, February 22, voters can head out to cast their ballots in person at 10 of Fresno County’s new Vote Centers. Saturday marks 11 days before the primary election and, in accordance with the California Voter’s Choice Act, Vote Centers will open at 9:00 AM and will remain open each day through Election Day, March 3, 2020.

Vote Centers are located throughout Fresno County, allowing voters more days and more ways to vote! These first 10 Vote Centers will be open every day from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, leading up to Election Day. Hours on Election Day will be 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

Following this opening wave of Vote Centers, the remaining 43 Vote Centers will open on Saturday, February 29, four days prior to the March 3 Election.

With the implementation of the Voters Choice Act, Vote Centers have replaced traditional polling places, providing voters the opportunity to visit any convenient location and vote in person, register to vote or update their registration, get a replacement ballot prior to voting, and/or to drop off their voted ballot.

In addition to the Vote Centers, 43 secure drop boxes have been placed throughout Fresno County since February 3, 2020. At 8:00 PM sharp on Election Day, March 3, those boxes will be locked.

A listing of vote centers and drop box locations can be found in the Voter Information Guide and at www.votefresnocounty.com.
