President Donald Trump’s California Campaign Trip Includes Bakersfield

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit California, making a stop in the Valley.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 the White House confirmed the trip, the President’s first out west since making his the State of the Union.

President Trump will be in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Feb. 18 2020 where he will meet with the Olympic Committee on preparations for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

On Wednesday, Feb 19, 2020 President Trump will be in House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s hometown of Bakersfield.

Trump will join Republican McCarthy, speaking to farmers in the Valley about improving the supply and delivery of water in California.

Trump Valley visit takes place one day after David Bernhardt, the Interior Secretary, will be participating in a water forum with Representative Devin Nunes in Tulare.

KMJ’s Ray Appleton is scheduled to speak with Rep. Nunes on Appleton’s show on Monday, Feb 17th.

The last time President Trump visited the Valley was in 2016, as a candidate holding a rally in Fresno in May and months later, at a private fundraiser in Tulare in August of 2016.
