MADERA COUNTY,CA (KMJ)- A candidate for the Madera county board of supervisors was arrested Wednesday morning for driving under the influence and hit and run after crashing into a home in Madera Ranchos.
His name is Hendrik Edward Block.
California highway patrol says the crash happened around 1 in the morning near Avenue 12 just east of Loren way.
CHP also reported that block left the scene on foot.
CHP was able to make contact with Block a little ways from the scene about an hour after the crash, where he was arrested.
Police say that nobody was seriously injured in the crash.
Block, who goes by the name Eddie Block, according to his campaign Facebook profile is running for Madera County Supervisor District Four.
