Man Gunned Down, Police Ask Public’s Help with Fresno’s 3rd Homicide of 2020

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno Police are asking for the public’s help with a murder investigation, the 3rd homicide for 2020.

On January 12, 2020, at approximately 2:00am, police said ShotSpotter showed multiple rounds being fired in Southeast Fresno.

Patrol Officers responded to the 4500 block of E. Turner.

Officers found 26 year old Brandon Thompson on the sidewalk

He was immediately transported to CRMC where he later died of his injuries.

Police said Thompson was unarmed and simply walking home at the time of the shooting.

They are not releasing a motive at this time.
