CHOLMAE, CA (KMJ) – A preliminary 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit near the James Dean Memorial in San Luis Obispo County, the USGS said.
It happened at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday near Cholame.
The quake struck about 7 miles North to Northwest of the city, halfway between Paso Robles and Lost Hills along Highway 46.
The USGS said it is on the San Andreas Fault.
