(KMJ) – The Merced Police Department wants shoppers in that city to be on alert for a pair of alleged wallet thieves.
Officers say two women (pictured above) work in tandem to target victims at various Merced Stores. And they rip you off by having one of the females distract you with casual conversation while the other female steals the wallet from your purse.
The pair then reportedly heads to other stores and make unauthorized purchases with the stolen credit cards.
Merced Police ask anyone who can identify these females to contact Officer Zazueta at (209) 769-5482 or Officer Farmer at (209) 769-6742.
And Merced Police say holiday shoppers need to be aware of their surroundings while shopping at any Valley retailer during this busy time of year.
