(KMJ) Hanford Police have arrested two men in connection with a murder that occurred at a New Year’s Eve party.
The body of the victim, Salvador Valdavinos, was discovered in a shallow grave early Saturday morning near the corner of 9th Ave. and Hanford-Armona Road. He had been buried after being shot during an argument at the party at the home of Joe Trejo. Trejo, 36, was arrested Friday during a traffic stop.
Detectives say Trejo helped remove and bury the body. The shooter was identified as John Reyna (pictured).
Reyna, 41, was arrested a short time later in Lemoore. Both men are now locked up in Kings County jail on homicide and other charges.
