FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A man is suspected, but not charged, in the murder of an Edison High School graduate.
35-year-old Tristan Beaudette was married to his high school sweetheart, Erica Wu, and worked as a scientist for a pharmaceutical company.
Beaudette was camping in a tent at Malibu Creek State Park with his 2-year-old and 4-year-old daughters, when he was shot in the head and killed at 4:44 a.m. on June 22, 2018.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s detectives believe Anthony Rouda is connected in the shooting death.
The 42-year-old parolee was in jail on a probation violation.
Rouda was arrested on October 10 with a rifle and ammo in a backpack, which was a violation of his parole on a prior charge.
He was sentenced Thursday to 180 days in jail, accused in a string of burglaries in Calabasas and Malibu.
Investigators are trying to determine if he was involved in Beaudette’s murder.
He has not been charged.
