FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Detectives arrest two teenage boys for armed robbery in Caruthers.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon, the boys entered the Dollar General Store at 13428 S. Henderson Road in Caruthers, wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts.
The 14 year old fired two shots into the ceiling, while the 15 year old waved the knife around.
Detectives tracked down the pair, and recovered the stolen cash – along with the clothing they were wearing during the crime.
They booked the two teenagers into juvenile hall for committing felony armed robbery.
The 14-year-old faces an additional charge for discharging a firearm.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says this case is unrelated to a series of six robberies in the Caruthers and Laton areas.
The robberies have occurred at different businesses between November 14th and December 3rd.
Property crimes detectives continue their work to identify and arrest the suspect(s) responsible.
