CLOVIS, Calif. (KMJ) — Clovis Unified officials say a Gateway High School student has been arrested, after taking a gun to school.
Investigators say there’s currently no evidence that the 16-year-old female student intended to use the weapon on campus, or against anyone at the school.
She told police that she felt she needed the weapon for protection.
A 15-year-old male student was also arrested during the investigation Friday.
