FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Fresno County woman is dead after being dragged by a horse.
It happened near Shaw and Academy on Sunday.
Investigators say Anne Herbstman was riding a horse and buggy near the Valero gas station, when for some reason, the horse got spooked.
The animal started bucking and kicking –that tipped the buggy, and the horse dragged Herbstman for a short distance.
The horse was finally stopped and captured.
Herbstman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment where she later died.
