FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Fresno Unified teacher’s assistant is sentenced Friday, July 20, for felony charges of lewd acts.
The 22-year-old was a 4th-grade tutor at the time when he met the victim, a student at Olmos Elementary School where he was working.
The lewd acts occurred between August of 2015 and March of 2017.
Fresno Police say he sent letters and texts to the 8 year-old girl, her mother told police and Perez-Esteban was arrested in October of 2017.
Perez-Esteban will spend the next three years in prison.
He must also register as a sex offender for life.
