FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Lemoore Police say an alleged auto thief from Hanford used the Offer-up phone app to peddle property from the vehicle.
On Sunday, July 15th, around 7:40a.m., Lemoore Police Officers got a report of a stolen vehicle, which was located later in the 20,000 block of Hanford-Armona Road.
Later that same day, the victim’s 2014 GMC Sierra was located in the 20000 block of Hanford-Armona Road and returned to the owner. The contents of the vehicle were all removed, along with gas from the tank.
Just three days later, the victim saw his belongings for sale on the “OfferUp” app.
Detectives were called out and were able to set up a meeting with the seller, and busted 28 year-old Nicholas Senner.
A search of the vehicle he was driving yielded more stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and some crystal methamphetamine which was on his body.
A search of his home in the 12-thousand block of Lacey Blvd recovered more stolen property, some in the trash.
Senner was booked into the Kings County Jail.
His bail was set at $25,000. A no bail probation hold was placed by Kings County Probation.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Lemoore Police Department (559-924-9574).
