FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A 5.3 earthquake struck Thursday afternoon just offshore of Los Angeles.
The US Geological Service says the quake hit before 1:00 p.m., located southwest of Channel Island Beach, 41 miles offshore beyond Santa Cruz island, and 10 miles deep.
Light shaking could be felt as far as Oxnard with moderate shaking on the Santa Cruz Islands.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office says they have received no reports of significant injuries or damage, or an influx of 911 calls.
LAPD says the same.
