(KMJ) A 15 year old Clovis Unified student was arrested just before 2 a.m. Wednesday for making threats toward Buchanan High School.
Clovis Police say they were contacted by a concerned citizen who saw a Snapchat picture of what looked like an assault rifle. The picture stated “Don’t come to school tomorrow”.
During the investigation at the boy’s home, the gun in the picture was confiscated and determined to be an Airsoft rifle.
The teen was booked into Fresno County Juvenile Justice Corrections on one count of criminal threats of death or great bodily injury.
The Clovis Police Department and Clovis Unified School District say they will have an increased presence on campus Wednesday.
