7 Warrants Served In Bakersfield Raid Targeting Illicit Drug Spice

 

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A multi-agency raid on Wednesday morning in Bakersfield, targets businesses allegedly selling the illegal synthetic drug called spice.

In the culmination of an investigation underway for a month, seven search warrants were served by Bakersfield Police on tips from residents.

At one location on South Chester Avenue and Wilson Road, officers found illegal marijuana sales and an illegal gaming operation.

Officers served search warrants for the following locations:

  • Fish’s Smoke Shop located at 2505 South Chester Avenue.
  • A gambling Hall located at 2507 South Chester Avenue.
  • Gifts and More located at 2840 South Chester Avenue.
  • A marijuana dispensary located at 3951 South H Street.
  • A home located at 2640 Laurel Drive.
  • A home located at 2600 South Chester Avenue.
  • A home located at 331 Pacheco Road.

In all, officers seized thirty pounds of spice, over $6,200, a half ounce of methamphetamine, and a “large amount” of marijuana.

No arrests were announced but suspects were detained.
