FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Fresno Police are looking for the man wanted for the murder of a transgender woman in Central Fresno

The homicide took place back on May 17th of 2017.

34 year-old Imer Eliu Alvarado (above) had been struck several times by gunfire

Alvarado was dressed as a woman when police found his body at 4th and Belmont.

Some called it a hate crime similar to that of 66 year-old K.C. Haggard, another transgender person who was stabbed and left for dead in 2015 in Central Fresno.

Fresno Police say shell casings and video evidence points to 25 year old Derrick Garcia (above), who is still at large.
