FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Today is Giving Tuesday – the global day of giving.
On this day, philanthropists flex their muscles… for example, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has agreed to match all donations made through Facebook to 501c3 organizations up to $50,000.
In the Central Valley, Clovis Community College is participating with its first-ever one day online fundraising campaign #ClovisCrushGivingDay – with money raised to be used solely for student scholarships.
The college’s goal is to raise $5,000.00 or more to support scholarships for students who are working to achieve their dreams of becoming future educators, health care providers, entrepreneurs, engineers and other professionals in the region.
If Clovis Community College raises $5,000.00, State Center Community College Foundation board member, Gus Bonner and his wife Greti, will match the college donations with an additional $5,000.00 for a total giving amount of $10,000.00 to Clovis Community College scholarships.
You have until midnight on November 28 to donate at at www.cloviscollege.edu.
