FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Four of six suspects allegedly behind a Fresno gun shop burglary are nabbed in Modesto, Thursday.
It was back on October 20th that six people from Stanislaus County broke into PRK Firearms on Clovis Avenue in Fresno.
Fresno Police say they stole 25 handguns and 25 rifles, using bolt cutters to get in the front door.
A tip from Turlock Police about surveillance video from an ARCO gas station there helped identify two of the suspects.
Another tip came from Modesto police on October 27th about two more men from Stanislaus County who were believed to also be involved in the Fresno burglary.
With help from Modesto Police, the ATF, and the Stanislaus County Sheriff, Fresno Police served search warrants at around 6:00 am Thursday in Modesto at four different locations.
Police Chief Jerry Dyer says four men were brought into custody (pictured above), but there are still two suspects at large, and 46 firearms are still outstanding.
Cheif Dyer says there is a $3000 reward leading to the arrest of 52 year-old Dolores Garza and 51 year-old David Avina, the remaining suspects.
