FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The start of a reversal, when it comes to poor financial habits.
A new BankRate.com study shows the percentage of Americans who have enough savings to cover 6 months of living expenses has risen to 31 percent.
That’s compared to 28 percent last year, and only 22 percent in 2015.
25 percent still have nothing saved at all, although that figure is also improving.
Analysts say young people — those between 18 and 26 — are among the biggest savers, a habit which they’re expected to keep, even as their finances become more complex.
