Vehicle Burglaries Rising in Fresno County

FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says there’s been more than 80 vehicle burglaries so far this year.  More than 60% of those occurred in the Fresno/Clovis area – but a majority of the burglaries happened in a concentrated area of Fresno bordered by N. Marks Ave, N. Blackstone Ave., W. Gettysburg Ave. and W. Sierra Ave.  Most of the break-ins took place between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am.

Deputies advise to do simple things to make sure your vehicle is protected – lock your car doors, roll the windows up completely and don’t leave items in the vehicle in plain sight.  For more tips on how to protect your vehicle, click here.
