The Tulare District Attorney’s Office says in June of 2015, Wilian Haynes got in to an argument with the victim because he did not want her friend at their house.

According to court documents, Haynes hit her with an empty bottle, and then a bedside dresser.

The victim’s daughter witnessed Haynes holding the dresser above her mother. She called 911 and reported that there was “blood everywhere” and the victim needed help.

Haynes fled the residence. When officers arrived the victim was bleeding from the head and needed medical treatment.

Haynes was arrested in Corcoran a short time later he told Tulare Police they got into a “scuffle” and that he wasn’t “beating on her like a dog”.

The DA’s office says this is not the first incident and that he has a pattern of physical and verbal abuse. Haynes had previously been convicted of domestic violence in April of 2015.

Now, he faces up to 5 years in state prison, when he’s sentenced in May.
