FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — When examining what California gets for the tax money sent to the federal government, the state ranks 47th in the nation, according to a new WalletHub analysis.
Looking at how much the state receives for education and public safety, California ranks 29th.
However, when it comes to infrastructure and pollution, the Golden State comes in 43rd.
WalletHub says the less-than-desirable return on investment, explains why nearly 3 in 5 American adults believe they pay too much in taxes, and feel the government wastes more than half of what it collects.
