FRESNO , CA (KMJ) – The Fresno Teachers Association (FTA) will be hosting a historic Educational Summit on Tuesday, March 28th, to discuss the direction of the Fresno Unified School District.
“This is going to be an unprecedented event”, said FTA President Tish Rice, “I’m excited to have real dialog between the community and the members of the school board.”
Five school board trustees are scheduled to attend this free event, which is open to the public.
Topics of discussion will include the process for hiring the new superintendent, how to improve student learning environments, and how to support professional educators.
Audience members will be allowed to directly ask questions of the panelists.

The event is not sponsored by Fresno Unified. It is free and open to the public. Free food & childcare will be provided. T-shirts will be provided to the first 1000 attendees.
