New Data Outlines Hotspots for Unlawful Immigration

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — New York, Los Angeles, and Houston, according to a new analysis of government data by the Pew Research Center, those are the top metro areas in the nation for unlawful immigration.

It shows that most of the 11.1 million undocumented residents reside in only 20 major regions.

However, no part of the Central Valley is included.

Fresno ranks 35th on Pew’s list with about 50,000 undocumented immigrants.

Visalia ranks 56th with around 30,000, with about 15,000 in Merced, and 10,000 in Madera and Hanford.
