FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Electronic cigarettes have been at the center of controversy, given the lack of data about the long-term impacts.
Increasing use among teens has led to numerous regulations.
Now, researchers at Yale warn that young people are turning to “dripping.”
Instead of using a cartridge of juice and a wick that goes to heated coils, dripping allows for the liquid to be placed right over the coils.
Experts say that could increase exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
Sweet and fruity flavors are also seen as means of enticing youth, which has prompted calls for more restrictions.
